The Keoladeo Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is a paradise for avian lovers. The Sanctuary was used as a shooting reserve till 1956, when it was declared and upgraded to National Park.
The Sanctuary has been declared a UNESCO world heritage site, since it has been a perfect habitat for more than 375 species of beautiful birds, out of which about 130 species breed each year inside the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary. Pythons can be seen basking in the sun in some parts of the Sanctuary.
The total area covered is about 29 km2. The best way to explore the Sanctuary is by foot and on bicycles, which are available on hire. Cycle rickshaw is another great means to travel and explore a major part of the Sanctuary.

Pick up from the hotel in Agra and drive to Bharatpur.
Upon arrival in Bharatpur, visit the Keoledeo Bharatpur Sanctuary by rickshaw.
Lunch at Hotel Udai Vilas Palace.
After lunch, drive back to Agra.
