Uni - Crystal Holidays was born in 1990 when Viney found himself desperate to open up his own travel company. Viney then found P.D who had the same burning desire and the rest as they say is history. Uni - Crystal Holidays has come from humble beginnings, starting with 1 client from Canada who wanted to explore India. The early years were a struggle for Viney and P.D who found themselves constantly travelling around the country encouraging all the fort, palace and castle owners to convert what they had into hotels in the name of tourism, placing a heavy emphasis on rural tourism, especially in Rajasthan. Today these are commonly known as Heritage Hotels.

P.D. Sharma - P.D. holds a Post Graduate Degree in Tourism. His work history has involved experience with the Indian Tourism Industry, the Youth Hostel Association of India and the Explorers Club in Delhi before starting up Uni -Crystal Holidays.
P.D. has also completed his advanced mountaineering course.

Viney Tyagi - Viney is professional film maker turned tour operator. Viney was employed by a travel company to make a film for tourism promotion and in turn got a chance to travel to the Northern part of India, in an area called the River Ganges, located in Varanasi. While embarking on this journey, Viney realised his life was made for travel.
After joining this company as a part time tour leader, Viney took it upon himself to study the tourism product within India, which led him to drive tourist cabs for a year to learn the art of behaving with guests and giving them a personalised level of service, ensuring a memorable holiday experience.

Sustainable Tourism
Viney and P.D. are embarking on a personal project they hold close to there heart which involves both environmental and social sustainability. Uni - Crystal Holidays are planning to adopt a small village in the Thar Desert - near Jaipur (link). They are planning on connecting each house in the village with a central water harvesting system. This initiative will help the village to conserve water during the monsoon season which can help create up to 3 months worth of water each year.
There hope is to also help educate the village in terms of better hygiene practices in developing such a system. The men are currently in talks with the Village chiefs who have expressed a keen interest in such a project.
